San Jacinto Monument & Museum of History and Battleship USS Texas

Remember the Alamo! That was the rallying battle cry when Texans won their independence on these grounds. True to legend that everything is bigger in Texas, Texans built the world's tallest monument tower with a panoramic viewing platform. Features a museum, monument, and battlefield. Battleship USS Texas, the only surviving battleship of both world wars was converted into a museum and floats nearby.

NASA Johnson Space Center Rocket Park & The Longhorn Project

View an authentic Saturn V rocket – the largest rocket ever made – built and intended to be launched to take astronauts to the moon. Adjacent to Rocket Park, live longhorn cattle first bred in the Bay Area region of Texas and later made famous by the legendary Chisholm Trail, can be found roaming the fields.
